Settebello

Sigh. It's true what they say about this wonderful little restaurant. Real pizza. Real gelato. Real good.

If you are in Salt Lake and you want something so satisfying you could cry, it's Settebello. Especially if you try the NUtella flavored Gelato. . . yes.

3 King's Day

Can I just say that having the holidays this year is making me super excited about having kids soon?? This would have been WAY more fun with some little ankle biters around. Because you see, I am secretly a 10 year old trapped in a 24 yr old body- I love being silly and eating candy, and making these dumb crowns so we can pretend to be kings on 3 king's day!!
I think Braden secretly likes that stuff too- but he just has to act "too cool for school"

Happy 3 Kings Day! Does anyone else celebrate this? I guess it's a Puerto Rican or Spanish holiday- it's in celebration of the 3 wise men finding the baby Jesus and presenting him with gifts. Since I guess they didn't actually find him until 12 days after his birth. So we put on crowns, read the Christmas story, exchanged gifts, ate tres leches, and . . . watched Biggest Loser.
Not really Spanish tradition but that's okay. :)

I can't wait to enjoy this Christmas present . . .

Only one more month until sand, sun, beach, waves, tan, family, no work, and all play.
We can not wait!
Let's all go! See you there? Yes? Okay!

Bring on the new year!

Hurray! A new year! A clean slate! New resolutions! New memories! 2010 is our year baby- ( I hope) 2009 was just one of those years that will be easily forgotten, not so horrible that I have to suppress the memory, but just not that memorable- kind of like last year. Actually we bought our house last year which was pretty neat AND we did go on some pretty fun vacations. . . 2009 I really have to think hard, work comes to mind, lots of working. Running, and LOTOGA, and Havasupai come to mind. . . there were alot ( i'm sure) of the little things that I take for granted. Which is obvious by the fact that I can't even remember them right now.

That is why this blog really is great. Because you forget the little things. Recording your memories like this helps me to be grateful for my life, as simple as it is. One day ( and it's already getting this way) it will not be simple anymore, I will have to grow up and take care of children and it won't be about Braden and I, and our dog, anymore. And that will be wonderful but this can wonderful too. For now.

I am excited to see what memories 2010 will bring.
