Sometimes I wish I was photogenic

It really would be nice, especially when I get excited about getting dressed in matching outfits and going outside for a family photo shoot- it's really cute in my head.
But then I get things like this ---> and that <-------- and I wonder why they never turn out the way I see them.
I mean He's cute, so when we're together it's okay, when he's alone, it's better . . .
And this one never fails because Hello those eyes . . .

But once it's just me, something goes terribly wrong :)

(Doesn't this remind you of Chandlier from Friends a little bit? I can relate.)

What can I say? The camera hates me.

1 Day! 3 states! 206 miles! LOTOJA!

So for those of you who are not familiar with the most intense bike race known as LOTOJA. It means Logan to Jackson. This ride is 206 miles long, across 3 states, and it must be complete in one day. Crazy huh?

Who would dare tackle such an extraordinary feat? You would seriously have to be out of your head to try it. But my awesome mad-man of a husband was there, he rode and from sun up to sun down.

He began the race before dawn and it finally ended just before the sun went down. Over 12 HOURS on the bike. 12 HOURS!!

Not very many people thought he would make it :) but it he did. He came, he rode, and he kicked butt!

Way to go Brade! I'm glad you survived! We are super proud of you!!

- mom Cathy and I were Braden's pit crew, basically we served as refrigerators-

-here we are to prove Brade made it to Jackson :)-

- just after finishing the race and finding out his prize was a hanger, haha-

- crossing the finish line!-
- yes I am a pretty proud wife-

Welcome to Havasupai

Navajo falls
Mooney Falls

Havasupai Falls

What a trip! I really wish I took better pictures . . . Havasu is soo much prettier than the pictures show, really breathtaking.

The hike in is 10 miles and I am a big sissy-pants when it comes to hiking. I died. I literally thought I would never be happy again. Braden promised me a new pair of jeans if I didn't cry on the way up, even then I couldn't do it. It was so miserable that I swore I would never come back unless I was air lifted into town.

But I'm so glad we did it. This place is as beautiful as it is unique. I mean, turquoise clear water in the middle of the desert? Are you kidding me?
