Sunset in the spring
we {and when I say we well I mean ME, because when do we ever do what my honey wants to do?} love, blowing snowballs, sunsets, and getting lost in lush green stinging needle and poison ivy, with maybe a friendly slug in your shoe. I really keep picking winning locations for our photo shoots. What a nerd. Thanks darling for always humoring me and being better with the camera than I will ever be with all my practice. It's very rare to see a decent picture of yours truly, very rare, as in you never do. These all were almost post processed into oblivion. and maybe they turned out for once because I was happy-content with the moment and the smell of purple lilac and blossoms carried in the soft breeze. don't leave us Spring. PS. these head bands do nothing for me- I wish so much they did because its so cool right now to look like a homeless hippy! what's with the trends these days? what is the trend exactly- it looks like wear whatever you want and try to look as much like a bum possible. i can't figure it out.
make a wish . . . .

I can tell
I can already tell that whoever looks at this blog will be totally let down by this post. Another picture of a child they don't know. Gee whiz. Sometimes I feel like this blog should be witty or charming, interesting and original, or just plain entertaining. Well it probably should be all those things but sadly I have nothing to offer but what's going on with me and my family, and we are just so boring!! I am so average and regular and live a very simple life. Right now I work and come home and take pictures and post the ones I'm especially proud of. this camera was quite an investment and I feel obligated to become an expert in the taking of pictures. Which is harder than I thought: this thing has soo many gadgets and settings and modes and buttons and one thing will work on day and the next day it doesn't work anymore! aargh. But I needed a hobby really bad- going to the same job day after was starting to define me and I didn't want that! And I thought, what bliss is would me to just be me with no boss, no clocking in at 9 am and having to answer to some less than intelligent people all day (no offense.) not saying I'm a smarty pants or anything but you know, common sense is really taken for granted these days. Any whoo- I can't decide which I like better: He's just so darling in both.

. . . List of happy . . .
{this is an idea copied by the Rockstar Diaries}
10 things that make me Happy:
1. an old photograph 2. morning snuggles 3. the look of the sky between storms 4. cherry blossoms 5. everything to do with Summer 6. a good run 7. family 8. hearing a child's prayer 9. a kiss in the warm summer breeze 10. knowing everything will be okay
and so many others. I have many reasons to feel happy. Many reasons to feel comfort, hope, and contentment. Even though I am not everything I want to be, my life is perfect, I have been given everything I could ask for. It's time to recognize the good, the hand of God in my life, trust Him, and have faith in myself.

Mommy!
My mom is the greatest. She totally spoiled us while we were there this weekend! Thank you for the pedicure and breakfast, and all the other things that you do that make you wonderful! We love you mom! Next year, try to be a little more lazy and let us do something for you for once!
Happy Mother's Day!
(clockwise from the top) Mom's foot, Sierra's foot, my foot.
I never knew a pedicure could be so relaxing, having someone that close to my nasty feet took some getting used to but it was worth it! They actually made my feet look decent! { me and my all grown up and beautiful sister Sierra}
Took mom to Highland's new bistro, the Blue Lemon. It was really good. I had the lemon grilled chicken BLT and sweet potato fries, wow, and it is as delicious as it sounds.
Aw, I love my mom. She's pretty. Hope you had a fun day! I know we did! Thanks again!

A nice day for a wedding
Could this day be more gorgeous? And that view is just killer! I hardly socialized because I was just swept away in the majesty of it all. This is a shout out to my cousin Brittany who was married this Saturday and she looked wonderful! We had a picture but I was too unattractive, couldn't get over myself enough to post it. And I saw many family from my step mom's side that I see maybe once a year at the most. It was great to see everyone because they are just the most pleasant, inviting, warm, personable, hilarious people you could ever meet. Love 'em.
Breath-taking
And here's my kick-A sister Kelsey- Isn't she just cool? I desperately need her to live close so I can take advantage of her sense of style- can we say make-over? She bluntly told me that my hair was way too blond- which I took to heart because she's kind of an expert at that kind of thing.
I was just as happy as a clam to be there with my cute husband, any excuse to show him off is a good one.
All in all, just a beautiful wedding, Brit is one lucky little bride.
Thank you for inviting us!

Alot of people go to college for 7 years
Here he is in all his royal blue glory- the day was finally here! And it only took him a shade under a decade! J/K, it just felt that long, glad it's over and I can have my husband back!
We love you Mr. College Grad!
This was my favorite pic. of the day because I had to run up a huge hill in wimpy flats and pouring rain and my hair wasn't even done, but I made it! I got to watch him take the infamous Aggie graduation day walk to the Spectrum!
Here's Brade with he's graduation present. Pretty sweet huh? I don't know, I don't know anything about bikes, it could be made out of plastic for all I know. But he was sure happy about it!
Congrad-ulations Bugga! We sure are proud of you!

What I know
I was just reading some very disturbing comments made regarding a youtube video that addressed Tom Hanks referring to Mormons as un-american. These comments were just terrible, terrible language and just alot of hatred toward our church. It's scary to feel all that hatred. I feel I do live in happy valley where everyone is LDS and we just don't see alot of that controversy. There are a great many people that think we are racist, we are bigots, we are a cult, our church is a sham, and we believe in multiple Gods. Not many people read this blog but I wanted to express my belief in my religion, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We are Christians, we believe in God the Eternal Father, and in his Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. They are seperate in being and one in purpose. We believe that the words of the Bible as far as it is translated correctly, are true, we also believe in the Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ. This is the true church on earth today. It is perfect because God is perfect and this is His church. But the members of it's church are not, we will never be while on the earth. Some of us are not the best examples of Christ-like love, charity, and understanding. We can be judgemental and fail to see the motes in our own eyes. Please forgive us. Do not let those that have hurt or offended you deprive you of the greatest blessings the Lord has to offer. Eternal life. You can not partake of such blessings if you do not forgive. If we were perfect and always said and did everything right, what need would there be for this church? Our church is here for the imperfect, for the humble, for the down-trodden, for the poor, the lonely, the afflicted. Anyone who has ever had a trial to bear or made a mistake that they feel there is no redemption from, our Gospel is for you. This is Christ's church and he loves each one of us. I know this because I have knelt and prayed and asked the Lord myself, if He loves me, if He knows me, and whether or not he can comfort me and help me to feel whole again. And I feel it so strongly that He does, the burning in my heart brings me to tears. He is there, and I know that the teachings of this church are true, lead by men called of God, inspired men, men of God. Listen to them if you have any doubts. There words are words of revelation and will touch your heart and mind and bring you peace in this troubling world. I know God lives, I know my Savior lived and died for me. No greater sacrifice can ever be given and no greater gift of Love can ever be shown. We are a church that knows this, this is what we teach, this is who we follow, and even though sometimes I fail to act upon it, I am still a Christian who loves my Savior Jesus Christ and am better for knowing it.
